La cover band degli U2 “Rejoice” entusiasma i fan a Rhauderfehn

Just as they did for the two double concerts in 2024 and 2025, the U2 cover band “Rejoice” once again thrilled the audience at the Plümer’s restaurant in Rhauderfehn.

Two nights, two sold-out shows: the Milan-based U2 cover band “Rejoice”
created a fantastic atmosphere at the Plümer’s restaurant. A conga line
even formed, winding its way through the room.

Rhauderfehn – The original U2 celebrated their 50th anniversary on Friday, September 25,
2026, with a surprise concert at their former school in Dublin. We are referring
to the Irish rock band U2, founded in Dublin in 1976. One of Italy’s best U2 cover bands,
the Milan-based group “Rejoice,” performed two concerts—on Friday, September 25,
and Saturday, September 26—at Plümer’s Gaststätte in Rhauderfehn.

Just as with the first two performances, fans sang at the top of their lungs, recalling hits
such as “With Or Without You,” “Sunday, Bloody Sunday,” “New Year’s Day,” “Pride (In the
Name of Love),” and “Beautiful Day.” “I Rejoice held their third double concert here
in Rhauderfehn, and for the third time, tickets sold out,” said Andreas
Plümer, the restaurant owner, thrilled by the large turnout. “The band always manages to win over the audience.”

“The audience was enthusiastic. Many friendships formed between the spectators and the band. It’s something
special,” said Plümer. “The band always manages to win over the audience. And U2’s music
has a massive fan base,” explained Andreas Plümer, attempting to make sense of the Milan-based musicians’ success.

Concert-goers were also impressed by the Italians’ performance. “I think ‘Rejoice’ is fantastic. Vocally, the lead singer is very similar to the original, Bono,” said Sündtke Meyer from Rhaudermoor. Luca, the lead singer of Rejoice, was not even present; he had to cancel his appearance due to work commitments. Angelo Liaci, who had been the group’s lead singer in its early years, stepped in for him.

“What Andreas Plümer manages to organize here with these annual concerts is a dream,”
enthused organizer Sündtke Meyer. “On Friday, there were more people
celebrating in the restaurant area. On Saturday, however, there were more guests wanting to see the band
live on stage,” reported Andreas Plümer.
The next concert in the Netherlands was scheduled for
Sunday.
The musicians from “Rejoice” felt right at home in the small venue. On Friday
evening, they even started a conga line with the audience, winding their way through the pub. The
U2 tribute band “Rejoice” boasts over 18 years of experience and has already performed more than
300 concerts across Italy and Europe. In 2013, they won the award for Best Italian U2
cover band at the “Beautiful Cover” competition.
In Rhauderfehn, Ivan Montafia (guitar), Riccardo Codiglioni (drums), Rodolfo Oliva
(bass), and Angelo Liaci (vocals) took the stage. “The audience is fantastic. The atmosphere
this year was even better than at our 2025 concert,” the band announced.
The musicians from Milan then set off for another gig. “We’re playing in
Holland on Sunday,” they added.
